Alter Eco cafe has opened its doors for us and left the cappuccino machine on especially for our Death Cafe, so you can indulge your early afternoon sweet cravings while we consider all things mortal.

A Death Cafe is a space where you can enjoy open and relaxed conversation on death and dying. It is a welcoming space where you can share a story if you wish, or just listen and observe. There is absolutely no pressure, just friends and compassion.

At a Death Cafe, people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'.

A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is not a grief support group or counselling session.
